Dr. Riley Dean is a Board eligible plastic surgeon and a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is passionate about helping patients reach their desired aesthetic or reconstructive goals with a focus on patient-centered care. He prioritizes safety, integrity, and quality in every procedure that he performs.
Dr. Dean graduated summa cum laude from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He then earned his medical doctorate from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Houston – McGovern Medical School, where he earned multiple prestigious academic scholarships, including the Dean’s Competitive Scholarship and Dierks Surgical Scholarship.
After medical school, Dr. Dean completed a highly competitive six-year integrated plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the University of California San Diego Medical Center, where he obtained specialized expertise in various areas of plastic surgery including breast reconstruction, facial aesthetic surgery, pediatric and craniomaxillofacial reconstruction, extremity reconstruction, microsurgery, and body contouring surgery. During his time in residency, Dr. Dean received multiple awards for academic, research, and teaching excellence.
While completing his medical training in Texas and Southern California, Dr. Dean was fortunate to learn from some of the most well-renowned plastic surgeons in the world. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed scientific publications, and has lectured at regional, national, and international scientific meetings.
After years of extensive training on the West Coast, Dr. Dean has returned to South Louisiana with the goal of offering state-of-the-art surgical care and providing the greater Baton Rouge community with access to the most advanced treatment options available.
